Position Description

Summary

  • GENERAL SUMMARY
    • The Occupational Health RN provides nursing care and health services to employees through a comprehensive occupational health program. Travel to offsite facilities required. Reports to the manager or director of occupational health staff.
  • ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
    • Plans, develops and organizes services and activities to support the organizational mission.
    • Seeks guidance from management when necessary.
    • Demonstrates accountability for daily operations of program.
    • Provides excellent customer service.
    • Assists with departmental performance improvement initiatives.
    • Performs other duties and tasks as assigned.
  • LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
    • Current Virginia state license as a Registered Nurse or Registered Nurse holding a valid Compact State license
  • MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
    • Graduate of a Bachelor of Science in Nursing program preferred.
    • At least two years of RN work experience required.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
    • Must possess strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
    • Must have valid driver’s license with a good driving record and meet insurance requirements of the organization.
    • HCP CPR Training required and/or must be obtained within 45 days of hire.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS
    • Normal clinical office environment with little exposure to excessive noise, dust, temperature and the like.
